The City of Marion has developed a network of cycling routes throughout the City for both commuters and recreational users.
Off Road Bike Paths
Bicycle Users Group
NEW MEMBERS WELCOME
The City of Marion and the City of Holdfast Bay Bicycle User Groups hold regular combined meetings.
Objectives are:
- To promote safe and enjoyable cycling in the City of Marion (for all age groups).
- To lobby and advise the Council on the design, provision and maintenance of bicycle ways and bicycle parking facilities in the City of Marion.
- To promote the bicycle as a legitimate form of transport.
- To support and review the implementation of Council's bicycle plan.
- To network with other BUG's.
So whether you are a commuter or social cyclist or you haven't ridden in years, you too can join the thousands of people who have already discovered the environmental and personal health benefits of cycling. If you want a say in how your Council provides for its cyclists - you should be a BUG member!
The group meets every month with the venue alternating between the City of Marion and the City of Holdfast Bay.
