Graffiti Removal

The rapid and continual removal of graffiti is most likely to reduce the re-occurrence of attacks.

Graffiti Can Change the Face of Your Property Overnight

Marion Council’s Graffiti Prevention Program aims to prevent and reduce the incidence of graffiti.

The program operates by encouraging community involvement in the rapid removal of graffiti and the reporting of incidents to the most appropriate authority. Our efforts are constantly being reviewed and community feedback is always welcomed.

FACT: Rapid and Continual Removal is the best graffiti prevention tool. In fact it is the single most important contribution residents and property owners can make in protecting their property and the image of their community.

DID YOU KNOW ?

That the City of Marion will supply graffiti removal products free of charge (including paint) to businesses and residents within the Council area.

Graffiti removal products are available from the City of Marion Works Depot located at 935 Marion Road, Mitchell Park, weekdays between 8am and 4pm.

HANDY HINTS

Test your graffiti remover on a small area of the graffiti you wish to remove first.

If you can not remove a few square centimetres, then you will not be able to remove several square metres. Up to 60% of graffiti removal from painted surfaces requires the area to be repainted.

Be sure when removing graffiti by the "paint out" method that you match your colour/s as near as possible to the original colour of the surface.
