Accessibility

This website has been developed by the City of Marion. to ensure that our information is readily available to as broad an audience as possible.

This includes people with disabilities who may use assistive technology to read or hear content on this site.

Colours and high contrast

When designing this site, a high contrast version was developed using colours that provide maximum contrast between foreground and background items. You can switch to the high contrast version by clicking on 'high contrast version' in the footer of any page.

Separation of design and code

All pages have been developed with a clean distinction between code and design. This is so screen readers and other accessible browsers have the best possible chance to read the site properly.

Guidelines

The City of Marion strives to conform to the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.0  and is regularly audited to continue to try to achieve that standard. We will always endeavour to implement new technologies that allow us to improve the accessibility of this site.

Screen resolution

This site is developed to be responsive to a variety of screen sizes to cater for a large range of devices.
