Join the SMART-Tech Community and get involved in exciting projects using new and emerging technologies in a fun and creative way.

Our Smart-Tech experts will provide one-on-one support to overcome challenges and complete your IT projects.

Suitable for all abilities for those 16 years and over this session is conducted in a safe learning environment. 

Subject areas covered include;

Computer tuition

If you have questions about your personal laptop, iPad, phone or tablet, we have the help you need.

Bring your device and access one-on-one support from one of our SmartTech experts.

They will help troubleshoot, problem solve, or guide you to manage computer hardware and software resources.

You will also learn how to do house-keeping as root or Operating System (OS) Administrator in a manner that processing of day-to-day applications/programs/services is performed efficiently and the integrity of the data and the system is preserved.

Code Club

Learn how to code.

Come along to our Code Club and learn how to plan, design, develop, and build using your creativity and learning about platforms you can use.

Join the club and get involved in exciting projects that will teach you how to program by making computer games, animations, websites and user-friendly programs.

Be in charge of the computer and learn how to make it do what you want in a fun and friendly way.

Programming language includes Scratch, Python, Object-Oriented basics using Java and basics of SQL and fundamentals of database design.

Robotics

Do you want to learn how to build robots?

Come along to Robotics Club a fun, hands-on club where you will create your own inventions and explore the world of technology. Supported by equipment and tutorials from STEMSEL Inventors Club.

Networking Solutions and Concepts

Come and learn the fundamentals of networking.

This  hands-on session will inlucde practice and simulations to design your own business landscape and develop your skills to install and operate switches and routers with security.

Neighbourhood Centres

There are four neighbourhood centres in the City of Marion; Cooinda, Glandore, Mitchell Park and Trott Park. Each centre offers a wide range of events and activities for people of all ages to enjoy.
