These are some of the 17 volunteers at the Marion Heritage Research Centre who are bringing local history to life by collating thousands of old photographs, newspaper cuttings and documents so they can be enjoyed by the community.
The volunteers, who combine to provide more than 45 hours of service each week, run events, coordinate displays, make presentations and help visitors to the centre research family and local history.
If you have a passion for the past and would like to help bring the City of Marion’s rich history to life by volunteering, contact Marion Heritage Research Centre coordinator Danielle Trewartha on 7420 6455.
The Marion Heritage Research Centre is adjacent to Marion Council’s Administration Centre, 245 Sturt Rd Sturt.
