Dementia Artwork Acknowledge Dementia Awareness Month - Art Exhibition.

You are invited to view an exhibition which contains a collection of stunning and inspiring works by people living with dementia and their carers.

Alzheimer's Australia SA has been conducting Creative Art groups to enable people living with dementia a way to express themselves through creative expression.

Jill McKenzie, the facilitator for this group and a Dementia link worker for Alzheimer's Australia who also holds a degree in fine arts, provides a safe space and invites individuals or groups and their carers to explore their issues and feelings by using a variety of media they feel comfortable with.

Jill has put together a combination of artworks from these groups to showcase the exploration and reflection of the participants.

No need to book, just come along during library opening hours.
