Mike Turtur Bikeway
The Mike Turtur Bikeway, previously known as Tramway Park, when completed will provide a shared use path and recreational linear park which stretches from the City to Glenelg.
The path provides residents with a high standard shared use pathway, recreational resource, enhanced sustainable transport options and greater connection to tram stops and local destinations.
Public Art Project
City of Marion is currently developing a 4km section of shared pedestrian and bike pathway from Morphett Road to South Road, known as the Mike Turtur Bikeway located alongside the tramline.
A series of two and three dimensional public artworks have recently been installed along the bikeway, created by Greg Healey and Gregg Mitchell. Travel the pathway and be met by action-inspired sculptural figures and poetic text reflections on the life-enhancing experience of cycling.
We hope you will be engaged by these new cultural expressions as you explore your City of Marion environment.
