Hendrie Street Reserve update
A concept design has been developed for a playground for children of all abilities at Hendrie St Reserve, Park Holme.
The project is a partnership between the City of Marion, the Touched by Olivia Foundation (TBO) and the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI).
The playground aims to see children of all abilities play side by side.
A concept design showing swings, a carousel, slides, water and sand features, balancing equipment and a trike track has been installed on site.
A final draft concept design will be considered by Council in August this year.
The project is expected to cost $900,00. DPTI has committed $250,000 while the City of Marion has committed $250,000 and will design the playround and manage construction. The Touched by Olivia Foundation is working to raise $400,000 through donations and sponsorship.
