Local young people are invited to explore their community and develop leadership skills at a special camp in April.
The youLead camp involves taking on a high ropes course, working in teams to find local landmarks and historical sites, and learning about local Aboriginal culture at Warriparinga.
The camp aims to identify potential leaders while improving problem solving, communication and teamwork skills.
City of Marion youth development officer Julie Higgins said the camp was an exciting opportunity for young people.
“youLead brings young people together to discover, learn leadership skills and have fun by getting out and about,” Ms Higgins said.
Participants will be based at Warradale Urban Camp.
youLead camp is open to 14 to 18 year-olds and runs from April 7 to 9.
The event is part of National Youth Week celebrations and is a partnership between Marion and Holdfast Bay councils and the YMCA.
