City Limits here

Volunteers in Mitchell Park build friendships with others.  They find enjoyment through sharing in chosen activities near Mitchell Park. Housing SA passed the management of 608 houses to Junction Australia on October 24th.  The dedicated team of Junction Australia works from 760 Marion Road.  They maintain these houses, receive the rental, respond to tenancy queries and care about residents in their homes.

Sarah Harding, a Community Development Officer, is employed by Junction Australia to work specifically with Mitchell Park residents. She has been to Mitchell Park Neighbourhood Centre where staff keep an eye on Wacky Wednesday, Bloke’s Time Out, Sewing Group, English Language Group and Line Dancing.  Sarah wants to visit staff at Clovelly Park Primary School, Hamilton Secondary College, Sacred Heart Middle School, Suneden Special School and Mitchell Park Kindergarten. Across the road from Mitchell Park, the Friends of Warriparinga help out with weeding amongst the native grasses.

Exercise has been shown to give happiness and health. The Mitchell Park Sports and Community Club’s affiliated clubs have had plenty of successes in the last 12 months with wins for the football club, Tigers Rugby League, cricket club and netball club. The new cricket scoreboard and grounds are looking good for the season. Kylie Weekley, the President, continues to hold the baton, continuing her family’s work. For exercising your dog, the Dover Gardens Dog Club continues its regular training days.

I hope you enjoy Christmas with family and friends.
