The Marion Library Service has toy libraries located at two of its branches. These being; Hallett Cove and Park Holme Libraries. There is a wonderful range of toys to borrow including imaginative play, construction, puzzles, board games and toddler toys.
The toy libraries provide a wonderful array of toys, games, sporting equipment and other resources to children, parents, caregivers and groups including play groups and family day care providers. Primarily the toys available are for children up to 12 years of age.
Due to the popularity of a number of toys available, we offer a Top 20 selection list. These toys may be reserved by you (up to five reservations, allowing you to borrow two at a time) from your home computer or by calling either Hallett Cove or Park Holme Libraries to assist you in this process. To assist us in providing you with the best possible service,
we would appreciate you providing the following:
For Individual membership: Identification with your name, current address and signature (individuals younger than 18 years require a guarantor).
Concession: a Pension card, family/health care card or Veteran's Affairs card to be presented at the time of payment of this membership.
Organisation: A covering letter from the Manager or Head of the organisation that acknowledges the organisations acceptance of responsibility for any loss or damage to a toy and is prepared to pay any fees or charges associated. The letter is to provide the name of the person who is the organisation's representative in regard to this toy library usage.

LOANS AND RETURNS
Responsibilities
- Toys may be renewed twice for 2 weeks (unless the toy has been reserved by another borrower).
- Please return toys to the branch from which they were borrowed during library opening hours.
- Please clean the toys prior to returning them and in your child's best interest you may wish to clean prior to their usage.
- Toys are to be returned in good order, complete and in their correct packaging.
- Charges apply for lost or damaged items, missing parts or packaging.
- A fine of 20c per day per toy is imposed once the expiry date has occurred.
- To maintain the best possible safety standards for toy library equipment, borrowers should report any damage to the library and not attempt to repair the item.
- Individuals who require a carer and children under the age of 13 are to be accompanied at all times whilst in the toy library.
