City of Marion Libraries have 24-hour returns chutes located outside each of our three branches for your convenience.

Your items will be automatically renewed (up to two times) 3 days prior to the due date unless the item has been requested by another borrower. An email will be sent to your registered email address to advise of the new due date.

You can log in to the library catalogue or use the Libraries SA App to confirm due dates.

Reserve an Item

If the item you are looking for is currently on loan to another borrower, or is only available at a different library in the South Australian Public Library Network, you can reserve a copy, by placing a 'Hold' on the item using the Place Hold button found on the item's display window in the library catalogue.

When the item arrives at your local library, you will be notified by either email, SMS or letter, that your hold is available for collection. Once it arrives, you will have 10 days to pick up your item.

You can place a maximum of 30 holds on your card at one time.

Reservations can be placed on items held by Australian libraries outside of the South Australian Public Library Network, however a fee will likely apply. Please contact us for further information about this service.
