The Hallett Cove Shopping Centre is a private sector project, managed and delivered by the owner, the Makris Group of Companies. The expansion of the Shopping Centre is closely linked with the development of the Connector Road.
LATEST NEWS
The Makris Group has commenced with construction for the expansion of the Hallett Cove Shopping Centre in mid February and will open before Christmas 2009.
The expanded centre will feature a new Woolworths supermarket and a BigW discount department store as well as 70 specialty shops.

This is a project by the private sector. The Makris Group commenced construction in February 2008 and will open the expanded shopping centre before Christmas 2009.
BACKGROUND
By facilitating the conditions for the expansion of the shopping centre, the Connector Road will help to improve employment, social and community activity and community well-being. It will strengthen the local economy by generating more opportunities for businesses and employment.
The expansion of the Hallett Cove Shopping Centre will create up to 500 new jobs for the area, most of which will be casual. There will be 960 car parks with 310 under cover.
