The Oaklands Rail Station redevelopment is a State Government project which will see a new station built closer to the State Aquatic Centre and other facilities in the Marion Regional Centre.

The $7m Oaklands Interchange redevelopment is a State Government project with a new station built adjacent the Morphett Road / Diagonal Road level crossing, its includes of bus interchange areas on Morphett Road. The relocation brings the facility closer to the State Aquatic Centre and other facilities in the Marion Regional Centre.
The new station was opened beginning June 2008.
The Oaklands Park Interchange is a State Government project.
BACKGROUND
The Oaklands Rail Station is a State Government project which will create a stronger link between the public transport system and the Marion Regional Centre.
The new station provides:
- improved safety and security for passengers and their vehicles,
- improved train services through the station, and
- a modern efficient station with facilities which are fully accessible for all users.
