As a business owner, the everyday chore of waste removal can be a real headache, but have you ever thought that some of the waste you throw away could be very useful to other businesses, residents and community groups?

The Waste Exchange Register (WER) is an initiative of the Marion and Mitcham Environmental Education Project together with the Aware Sustainable Industries Program (City of Onkaparinga) and City of Holdfast Bay Stormwater Pollution Prevention Project.

The advantage of such a register is that it allows the communities of all Councils to work as one in the field of waste minimisation and sustainability.
