The Australian Government and the South Australian Government have established the South Australia Innovation and Investment Fund (SAIIF) to assist with industry development in South Australia following the decision of Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited to cease manufacturing operations in Tonsley Park, Adelaide.

The fund incorporates the SAIIF Industry Development Program, a $30 million discretionary grant program that will support investment proposals aimed at generating sustainable new jobs and strengthening South Australia's manufacturing and technology base. The program will be jointly administered by the Australian and South Australia Governments.

How to find out more?

The Guide for Applications for the SAIIF Industry Development Program, incorporating the complete Applicant Guidelines and instructions on how to lodge an application, can be found at the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research website at www.innovation.gov.au, under the Programs and Services section.
