The Hallett Cove Foreshore Master Plan incorporates the planning, investigations and consultation of the development of Heron Way Reserve incorporating Grand Central Reserve in Hallett Cove.
The commemorative space was completed prior to the 2015 Anzac Day centenary celebrations.
The commemorative space includes an amphitheatre for large community events, memorial wall, shelters, picnic tables, BBQs, toilet and landscaping.
Stormwater civil works were undertaken in 2016.
Following extensive consultation which informed the design, construction to upgrade the playground at Heron Way Reserve commenced in 2018.

Road work to narrow the main median through the commemorative space and additional car parking is being completed in 2018.
These works allow for a metro bus to access the commemorative space and allocates disabled carparking nearby on flat ground.
Rock revetment and revegetation works are to be undertaken in the 2019/20 financial year.
The Cafe Plaza and car park will be upgraded in two short stages.
Work will include the retaining wall, paving, landscaping and pathways.
