Be Connected Start

Throughout February - June 2020, free workshops will be held at our Park Holme and Cove Civic Centre libraries for people wanting to learn more about being online as part of the Be Connected program.

Be Connected is a free Australian Government initiative aimed at increasing the confidence, skills and online safety of older Australians when they use the internet and everyday technology. People of all ages are welcome to register and participate in the free workshops held at the City of Marion Libraries.

As a network partner, the City of Marion Libraries will be providing opportunities to learn about mobile devices, apps, websites, cyber safety and other interesting things people can do online. Each workshop gives participants the chance to talk one-on-one with our facilitator and learn in a small group setting with others. During the workshop, participants will be introduced to the Be Connected website where they can take their learning further.

How can you join?

You can register for the free Be Connected sessions on Eventbrite by clicking the registration links below or call the City of Marion Libraries on 08 8375 6755

What to bring

When you come along, we encourage you to bring your own device and your library card (if you don't have one, we can get you signed up for free). We'll help you connect to the free library wifi so you can take part in the interactive sessions.
