A new playground and upgraded reserve has opened in Clovelly Park providing a refreshing new open space in close proximity to the Tonsley Innovation Precinct.

Cohen Court Reserve, which has been completed in conjunction with Renewal SA and Peet Ltd, brings to life a regional open space connecting it to the ever-evolving Tonsley Village.

It includes a range of recreation experiences including play, fitness and amenities for social gathering and relaxation.

Upgraded items include:

• Play structure with slides and climbing elements

• Nature play

• Spinner

• Basket swing

• Shelter with picnic setting

• Irrigated lawn

• Landscaping

The reserve has two access points (Cohen Court and Windsor Avenue) and is fenced along the southern side.

This is the first stage of the project and complements the Tonsley Village Central Reserve which also under construction.

Once completed later this year, the Cohen Court Reserve and Central Reserve will form one combined open space which will connect the surrounding community to Tonsley Village.

This will enhance community access to retail, hospitality and education options within the precinct.

The Master Plan for the entire precinct provides 11 hectares of residential development by Peet and will be home to 1,800 residents at completion.

These reserve upgrades represent a commitment to ensure residential development incorporates green open spaces and walking/cycling connections.

“Open spaces like Cohen Court Reserve are really valued by our community,” Marion Mayor Kris Hanna said.

“This is another exciting step in the development of the Tonsley Innovation precinct and village.”

“The upgraded reserve in Clovelly Park offers open space and enhanced amenities which will serve as a central hub for residents and foster strong community,’’ said Brendan Gore, Managing Director and CEO of Peet.

“The Cohen Court Reserve and the adjoining Tonsley Village Central Reserve will form a singular and continuous open space when the reserve is completed next year.

This will offer an enviable amount of outdoor amenity for the community.

This combined open space will be an exciting boost for the area and is another step towards ensuring Tonsley Village and the surrounding areas are a destination where residents can live, work and play,” he said.
