Workforce shortages due to COVID has led to a few days delay in the collection of organic and recycling bins in parts of the City of Marion.

The backlog, with expected delays with this week’s organic and recycling bin collections, is expected to be cleared by next Saturday.

Residents are being advised to leave their bins at the kerb until they have been collected.

Council’s contractor, Cleanaway, will continue to prioritise the collection of general waste bins on their scheduled pick-up days.

If bins are not emptied by the weekend, please get in touch with Cleanaway online at https://cityofmarion.cleanaway.com.au/, or email marion@cleanaway.com.au or phone: 1800 777 844 (Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm).

Daily updates of currently affected areas are available on the City of Marion’s Facebook page HERE.
