The City of Marion is asking the community to ‘Join the Conversation’ and have their say on the Draft Annual Business Plan 2022-2023.

The draft plan outlines the proposed program of works for the next financial year and is available at Council Offices or can be accessed online.

The Draft Annual Business Plan 2022-2023 is released for public consultation so Council can consider community feedback before adopting a final budget at the end of June.

The Draft Annual Business Plan proposes an average rate increase of two percent for 2022-23.

Key projects outlined in the draft plan include the continued work on the Coastal Walkway, the redevelopment of tennis, netball courts and open space at Tarnham Road in Seacombe Heights, the upgrading of the Marion Cultural Centre Plaza, and the restoration of the Coach House at the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre.

The community consultation period opens on 22 April and closes at 5 pm on 13 May with residents and ratepayers able to provide feedback in person, in writing and online.

Information about the draft plans and a survey are available on the Making Marion website at https://www.makingmarion.com.au/annual-business-plan

Residents can provide feedback at a drop-in session being held at the Marion Cultural Centre Library on Monday, May 9, 3pm to 5pm.

Verbal submissions can also be made at the General Council meeting on 10 May at 6:30pm. If you would like to make a verbal submission to Council on May 10, please contact Kate McKenzie, Manager Office of the Chief Executive by calling 08 8375 6600.
