“I am truly glad that we have more women on our Council than ever during my time in office, five Councillors out of 12 are women, and we have a more diverse Council than we have ever had in Marion Council’s history,” Mayor of Marion Kris Hanna said.

“Seven new Councillors means a good blend of fresh ideas and retained corporate knowledge.”

The City of Marion’s new Council Members will be inducted into their positions during a formal ceremony this evening (Friday).

The final results for all council elections will be published on the ECSA website and on the Local Government Association's website.
