Computer giveaway

Are you a member of a Marion community group that could make use of free, quality second-hand computer monitors?

The City of Marion has 125 computer monitors to give away to eligible community groups through an Expression of Interest process.

Expressions of Interest close next week on Wednesday, April 19, and can be submitted HERE.

The models include: HP EliteDisplay E221c and HP Compaq LA2206xc.

Power cables are included in the giveaway and DisplayPort cables are available on request.

The following conditions apply:

  • City of Marion gives no guarantee of the longevity of the monitors (they are approx. 10 years old).
  • Organisations will be required to collect monitors from the City of Marion administration building on either of two designated pick-up days in early May.
  • There will be no ongoing technical support provided following the collection of monitors.
  • Community groups requesting 10 or more monitors will be selected over those requesting fewer.
  • If the demand is higher than the stock available, a panel will assess the applications based on agreed criteria.

The City of Marion has 250 monitors in stock and has received 125 Expressions of Interest to date. A further 125 monitors are still available to eligible groups.

Successful community groups will be notified by Wednesday, April 26.
