Free Digital Skills Training for Job-Seekers and Businesses

In November and December, the City of Marion will be running a series of free digital skills workshops at the Cove Civic Centre to support job-seekers and businesses in the use of technology.

These workshops are being run as part of the  Digital Springboard program - a national initiative lead by Infoxchange and Google. The workshops provide an introduction to essential digital skills for job seekers and business operators. These include building a CV, writing a cover letter, understanding email, starting with spreadsheets, developing a social media strategy and understanding data.

Build a CV 
If you’re looking for a new job or just want to give your CV a quick refresh, this course is for you. We’ll cover the key components of a great CV and share tips for making yours stand out from the crowd using digital tools.

Write a Cover Letter
This course shows you how to write a great cover letter – but with a digital edge. Get best practice tips for writing a cover letter when you’re applying for a job and learn about some of the digital tools that will help.

Introduction to Email
