The City of Marion invites proposals from professional and suitably-qualified organisations interested in substantially redeveloping the Marion Golf Course facilities and managing its ongoing operations.

Council's vision is to attract a new management organisation interested in investing in the Marion Golf Course to develop a venue that offers a wide range of excellent services for the community as well as an outstanding golfing experience by maintaining a high quality course.

If you are interested in providing a submission please visit Tenders SA website(External link) by 9 January 2020.

Background

Council’s expectation is to retain the site as a golf course and develop facilities and activities that add value to the course.

Established in 1980, the Marion Golf Course is a public nine hole golf course in Seacliff Park, South Australia that services both the community and the Marion Golf Club members.

The Marion Golf Course had approximately 15,000 rounds of golf undertaken in 2018 for casual, tournament and social rounds. The club has about 85 members who participate in social and league rounds. The golf course is available for wider community use, and fees are priced at community rates.

The Marion Golf Course is ideally located with spectacular views of the coastline and the Adelaide Plains. This location provides a great opportunity for organisations with a vision and the capability to develop a quality golf course and venue.
