Life In Miniature Turn a Trainset Into a Layout WS

Visit the South Australian N Gauge Society Inc's huge Portland model railway display and wonder at the detail of the naval base, US Marine Corps base, cruise liner terminal, NASCAR raceway, trains rolling by and see what's showing at the the drive-in movie theatre. Join diorama specialists, Miniature Worlds, and make your own mini Unicorn World or Skate Park or learn about the history of model railroading and how to turn a train set into a train layout. Turn a Train Set into a Train Layout

Saturday 14 March, 10.30am-12.30pm

This hands-on workshop will teach you how to convert a start-up train set into a layout. Learn how to lay the track, start the scenery and how to go about constructing the visual effects to make your train set more realistic. Presented by South Australian N Gauge Society Inc.

Build Your Own Skate Park!

Create your very own miniature skate park scene complete with concrete ramps, grind rails, steps and miniature accessories such as street signs, pallets, skate posters and your very own 'Toyboarder' skateboard figurine. For ages 8+. All materials provided.

Learn how model railroading has changed over the years, from the early days of wooden and metal toys that resembled trains, right through the various gauges and sizes up to today's popular N Gauge, the fastest growing segment of the hobby. Presented by South Australian N Gauge Society Inc.
