Management have decided "Innovation" is the theme for Council staff in 2018. This is partly in response to the passion among your Elected Members of Council to use technology to better serve the community.
Innovation is already evident in a number of areas. Just a few examples:
The SEED program (Space for Everything Digital) is introducing children and adults to new technology at our libraries. School holiday programs which teach computer programming (coding) are very popular.
Our open space staff are being issued with iPads for more efficient recording, and GPS tracking of Council work vehicles will allow for better coordination of Council outdoor staff.
An online training package has also been developed promoting food safety for local cafes and restaurants as well as the community.
One of the easiest ways to stay in touch with local events and announcements is via our Facebook page. Try it out; we have even learned how to put videos on our Facebook page! (LOL!)
