Council is working hard to protect the community in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We made some difficult decisions to close Council facilities and cancel events.
Our staff are working out details of how we can continue to care for and provide services to our community, especially to those who are isolated or vulnerable. For example, a scaled down version of the library service is operating: you can still borrow e-books and access online services. Regular visitors to our community centres will have contact from staff and volunteers, even if it is just a friendly telephone call.
To ease the load for our sports and community clubs your Elected Councillors decided to waive rent and utilities bills for most Council-owned facilities.
Take care! Stay home if you need to!
