MPSCC first birthday

The City of Marion’s new $16 million Mitchell Park Sports and Community Centre (MPSCC) is celebrating its first birthday this Friday, June 23, with a day of activities and entertainment for residents.

During the day, 10 am to 2 pm, the activities include a rock and Roll dance class, community playgroup, basket weaving and beading classes and a performance from the Glandore Community Choir.

The MPSCC has also organised a coffee van and birthday cupcakes.

In the evening, 5.30 pm to 7.30pm, residents are invited upstairs to the Bistro to listen to an acoustic performance by MR.theduo and to enjoy ‘First Birthday’ meal specials and birthday cupcakes.

When the MPSCC was officially opened in late June 2022 it became one of the largest sports and community hubs in South Australia.

The rejuvenated facility is now home to nine local clubs, including some that have been playing at the complex since 1968, and the City of Marion’s Mitchell Park Neighbourhood Centre

It is now a vibrant community hub, providing a range of community activities, many sporting and recreational opportunities, and a place for local residents to relax, dine and socialise.
