The wonder of wetlands

Celebrate World Wetlands Day in the City of Marion with a guided walk through the majestic Oaklands Wetland and Reserve this Sunday.

Residents are invited to join Conservation Volunteers Australia and Friends of Sturt River Landcare for a tour and information session that covers:

• How wetlands clean and store water
• The birds, frogs, fish and animals which call it home
• The importance of Oaklands Wetland for our urban wildlife.

Visitors can enjoy free refreshments and get curious at the Q & A session after the walk which runs from 10 am to 12:30 pm this Sunday, February 5, at Oaklands Wetland.
