Tree Asset Management Plan draft open for feedback

The City of Marion's Draft Tree Asset Management Plan is now open for community feedback.

The City of Marion is one of the leaders in producing a plan of this type - to have our trees in the city considered assets.

The draft plan was endorsed by the chamber last year and now it is the community's chance to have its say.

The vision of council is to have streets and parks which are lined with mature, healthy trees that are a habitat for birds and other wildlife.

The community values and appreciates the city’s trees for their shade, appearance, and the contribution they make to the environment.

The purpose of the Trees Asset Management Plan is to improve council’s long-term strategic management of the tree assets to ensure the current and future Levels of Service are sustained.
