Nannigai and Capella Reserves Precinct Upgrade

Council will transform Nannigai and Capella Reserves over three stages from 2020 – 2022.
This follows Marion Council endorsement on the Hallett Cove precinct plan in June this year.
The project will feature new playgrounds, sports facilities, walking trails, seating and picnic facilities.

Nannigai and Coorabie Reserves (Stage 1)

Nannigai will be upgraded as a family friendly recreational reserve with:

  • a new junior playground
  • nature play
  • multipurpose court/s
  • family friendly picnic areas
  • barbeque facilities.

This stage will include walking paths and landscaping through Coorabie Reserve.

Capella Reserve (Stage 2 and 3)

Capella Reserve will be upgraded with:

  • play equipment
  • skate facilities
  • walking paths
  • a public toilet
  • seating
  • picnic and shade areas

Current Project Status

Stage 1 (Nannigai Reserve)

Consultation on the draft concept plan occurred from October to November 2019.

The consultation is now closed. The feedback provided will inform the development of a final concept plan for construction.

Stage 2 (Capella Reserve)

Consultation for the overall plan was undertaken in October to November 2019. A concept plan with options will be presented to the community for feedback in mid-2020.
