The New Resident Kit outlines the services and facilities people need to help make Marion home.
It includes information about waste collection and recycling, local parks, Community Care services, dog registrations, neighbourhood centres and libraries.
An overview of services for new arrivals and refugees, where to find information about local events, and how to search for sporting and community clubs and schools are included.

We hope you find the information in the kit useful and that you will contact us if you need more information about Council’s services and facilities.
We provide a range of services to help people from around the world settle in Marion.
Our four neighbourhood centres run classes to support new arrivals, including spoken English, advice on living in Australia, and a homework club for children from diverse cultures.
There’s also a settlement program run through Lutheran Care based at Cooinda Neighbourhood Centre.
Marion Libraries stock books and DVDs in a variety of languages.
For people who have difficulty understanding English, the Australian Government provides a Translation and Interpreting Service (TIS) which can be contacted on 131 450.
