Cove Multi-Sports Field EOI

The Cove Multi-Sports Field

The Cove Multi-Sports Field is located on Oval Road, Hallett Cove and is about to undergo some exciting upgrades.

The Cove Sports Netball and Lower Oval project will provide a new netball facility and reconfiguration of the BMX and soccer areas of the site, to create a multi-sports field with additional car parking provisions.

Excitingly, Cove FC has now moved to the Southern Soccer Facility and Cove BMX has moved into the Sam Willoughby International BMX Facility. As such, there is now an opportunity for new tenants to utilise this space

Submitting an Expression of Interest

The City of Marion is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Sport and Recreation clubs interested in leasing/licensing the field and some associated facilities at the Cove Multi-Sport Field. EOI's will be accepted for clubs that can maximise utilisation of the facility through club training and games, as well as social and community activities.

EOI's must clearly demonstrate the need for the use of this facility, be an acceptable fit for the operation of the existing facility and not adversely impact on the surrounding tenants or residents.

Interested parties are to note the following:

  • The term of the Licence Agreement will be negotiated with the successful applicant (no more than 5 years at a time).
  • Annual fees are to be negotiated with the successful applicant
  • Any further works or improvements required, following the completion of the upgrade, will need to be undertaken by the new tenant (subject to council consent)
  • The use of the area must complement the current user/s of the facility
  • Applicants must meet Council’s Leasing and Licensing Policy requirements
  • City of Marion may seek further information from applicants after the EOI closing date to assist with determining the successful applicant/s.

Applications open Thursday 7 September.

Applications close on Friday 6 October.
