UFO FilesThe UFO Files: Flying Saucers at the National Archives

Come along for a presentation and explore the development of Commonwealth government policy towards UFOs , the reporting of sightings by the public and the subsequent investigations with specific examples from SA and the emergence of a subculture interested in these phenomena throughout Australia and globally.

The National Archives holds many records relating to unidentified flying objects (UFOs), flying saucers and other unidentified aerial sightings. Many of these records date from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s when public interest in UFOs was high and many sightings were reported to Commonwealth authorities.

This library program is free.
