Biography

I was born in Iran, in an Armenian family and migrated to Australia, Adelaide in June 1989. I have completed part of my tertiary studies in Iran in the time of the political upheavals and during war with Iraq, in the fields of electronic engineering, architectural drafting and after many interruptions finally completed economics degree from Tehran University.

After migration I continued my postgraduate studies at both Adelaide and Flinders University in the fields of social sciences and demography.

Being passionate about art and architecture, I have also studied ‘Applied Visual Art and Design’ at TAFE in O'Halloran Hill, and was privileged to be trained by the best educators in the field.

Over the years I have participated in a number of exhibitions, especially those organized by 'M' Gallery at the Marion Cultural Centre.

One of the major projects that I have an opportunity to be part of it was a group exhibition titled 'The Words' by Craftsouth. This was based around the partnership between Australian artists and artists from the CALD communities. This project was a great success, and was reviewed positively by media and art critics.
