Services we offer
I studied at Adelaide Central School of Art working with discarded and outmoded materials of the everyday, making audiences re-think relationships with familiar ready-made objects and their associated sensory/haptic memories.
I work predominantly in sculpture and installation, responding to observations of people, objects, and materiality. I seek to prove that the unwanted is in fact useful and that it might prompt us to rethink our relationship with it. Respecting the life and qualities of the material, my aim is to work collaboratively with material agency to activate it in some way.
I completed my Bachelor of Visual Art (Hons) with First Class Honours at Adelaide Central School of Art, 2015. Since then my work Quiet Square was selected for the Perth Institute of Contemporary Art’s Hatched: National Graduate Show 2016. I also won the Hill Smith Gallery/Helpmann Academy Friends Award and the Watsons’ People’s Choice Award at the Helpmann Academy 2016 Graduate Show. I was also the recipient of the 2016 Arkaba Hotel Commission. I have exhibited in 2016 at the Brunswick Street Gallery, Fitzroy, Floating Goose Gallery, Adelaide, the Contemporary Art Centre of SA, and Kings ARI, Melbourne. I am the 2017 Artist in Residence for the DreamBIG Children’s Festival at the Adelaide Festival Centre and the Artist in Residence for SALA 2017.
