I studied atAdelaide Central School of Art working with discarded and outmoded materials ofthe everyday, making audiences re-think relationships with familiar ready-madeobjects and their associated sensory/haptic memories.

Biography

I workpredominantly in sculpture and installation, responding to observations ofpeople, objects, and materiality. I seek to prove that the unwanted is in factuseful and that it might prompt us to rethink our relationship with it.Respecting the life and qualities of the material, my aim is to workcollaboratively with material agency to activate it in some way.

Achievements

I completed myBachelor of Visual Art (Hons) with First Class Honours at Adelaide CentralSchool of Art, 2015. Since then my work Quiet Square was selected for the PerthInstitute of Contemporary Art’s Hatched: National Graduate Show 2016. I alsowon the Hill Smith Gallery/Helpmann Academy Friends Award and the Watsons’People’s Choice Award at the Helpmann Academy 2016 Graduate Show. I was alsothe recipient of the 2016 Arkaba Hotel Commission. I have exhibited in 2016 atthe Brunswick Street Gallery, Fitzroy, Floating Goose Gallery, Adelaide, theContemporary Art Centre of SA, and Kings ARI, Melbourne. I am the 2017 Artistin Residence for the DreamBIG Children’s Festival at the Adelaide FestivalCentre and the Artist in Residence for SALA 2017.
