Biography

I am a South Australian based artist living on the South Coast and painting and drawing has been my passion for as long as I can remember.

Driven by moods, thoughts and feelings I am an emotional painter, enjoying the journey of revelation and discovery my work can take me on.

I am currently working on a number of pieces created to embody the world that we live in, moving in a new direction for me - abstract expressionism. I love the freedom and momentum of this new style, the explosion of colour, movement and energy that mimic what I feel.

My works are often painted in layers and reveal themselves as I go, sometimes changing completely before I feel they have reached the right balance of colour and composition.

I am very much inspired by the immediate world around me, by feelings, by music and life experiences and I believe the combination of simplicity and learned technique make my work unique.
