Services we offer
Do you want to understand how much energy you are using at home and identify how you can reduce that use?
Home Energy Audit Toolkits are available for loan at each of Council's three libraries:
The kit includes a range of practical tools to help residents complete an energy audit of their own home.
You can also do the audit online using checklists prepared by the South Australian Government.
If you don’t think that this is for you, check out the Retail Energy Productivity Scheme (REPS) website that has been designed to improve energy productivity for households, businesses and the broader energy system with a focus on low-income households.
Under the REPS, most energy retailers operating in South Australia are required to provide energy productivity activities (incentives) for households and businesses. These activities may include a discount on services, free products or products up to a certain value, a cash rebate, vouchers etc.
The REPS presents an opportunity for energy efficiency businesses, welfare groups, local governments, manufacturers and other service providers to work in partnership with energy retailers in achieving their targets.
The REPS is administered by the Essential Services Commission of South Australia (ESCOSA), and commenced on 1 January 2021.
