Pay your rates

Access your rates online for an easier way to view, manage and pay your Council rates.

Pay your rates by credit card

To pay your rates by credit card click here. Make sure you have your assessment number ready to go.

Register to pay online

To access your rates online, follow the steps below.

For new My Marion accounts
  1. Select ‘register to manage your rates online
  2. Register your details, including your secure ID code from your paper rates notice
  3. Select ‘Create an account’

Property managers and real estate agents: If you manage properties on behalf of a property owner, create an account then select 'Add a property'. You will need the current rates notice for the property to proceed.

For existing My Marion accounts
  1. Log in to your My Marion account at my.marion.sa.gov.au
  2. Select ‘My Property and Rates’
  3. Select ‘Add property’
  4. Enter your Assessment and Valuation numbers from your paper rates notice

View, manage and pay your rates online

Once registered with My Marion, users can:

  • Pay rates online
  • View real-time rates balances
  • Set-up and manage direct debit payments for rates
  • Set-up a payment plan
  • See when your next payment is due
  • Request an extension of time
  • View your payment history
  • Download or view current and previous rates notices at any time

Other options to pay your rates

Credit card

Pay your rates by credit card. You will need your Assessment Number to make the payment.

BPAY

Telephone or internet payment may be made through your participating financial institution. Contact your financial institution to register, quoting biller code 9613 and the customer reference number shown next to the BPay symbol on the payment slip.

Important note: Payments made through Australia Post or BPay may take up to two working days to reach us. Please ensure your payment is made in time to reach council by the due date.

Direct debit from a bank account

Please download and return the Direct Debit Application Form 23 24 to pay your rates annually or quarterly from your nominated bank account.

Mail

Cheques or Money Orders should be made payable to City of Marion crossed "Not Negotiable" and forwarded with the payment slip to:

* Receipts will only be issued if clearly requested.
* Post dated cheques or credit card payments will be returned unless prior arrangements have been made.

Centrepay

Use Centrepay to arrange for regular deductions from your Centrelink payment.

Australia Post

Online: Payment may be made through the Post Bill pay website. * Important note: Payments made through Australia Post or BPay may take up to two working days to reach us. Please ensure your payment is made in time to reach Council by the due date.

In person: Payment may be made at any Post Office with Billpay facilities with a copy of your rates notice. The minimum amount payable at Australia Post is $50.00.

Phone: Payment may also be made through the Postbillpay service, please ring (number below). Follow the recorded directions, quoting Billpay code 0560 and the customer reference number shown next to the Postbillpay symbol on the payment slip of the rate notice. Phone: 13 18 16.
