Syringes / needles

Discarded syringes

Council will pick up discarded syringes/needles from public places 24 hours a day, seven days a week as they are a serious health and safety risk.

To do this we require a specific address with the exact location of the needle (e.g. "a few steps to the left of the gate", " next to the drink fountain'', etc.), if known.

Please report these by calling our customer service centre during business hours of 8.30 am to 5 pm, or calling our after-hours service.
