City of Marion’s Best Beer Gardens

With 2023 bringing with it amazing weather for summer, the City of Marion has a variety of locations with vibrant beer gardens to grab a parmy or catch-up with friends in. We’ve listed the hot spots around our city. Have we missed one? Let us know at marketing@marion.sa.gov.au.

Known as 'The Garden', the open-air bar sits somewhere between a modern eatery and cocktail bar.

Morphett Arms Hotel

138 Morphett Road, Glengowrie
Website

Outdoor option: courtyard

The Courtyard at the Morphett Arms Hotel is a relaxed indoor/outdoor space.

The venue hosts live entertainment on the weekends with acoustic solo, duo & DJ performers.

Patritti Cellar Door

13-23 Clacton Road, Dover Gardens
Website

Outdoor option: courtyard and garden seating outside of the cellar door

Well, not technically a beer garden, but a notable addition to this list either way! Enjoy a cellar door experience, right here in the heart of the City of Marion. Quite literally tucked away on a quiet residential street in Dover Gardens, Patritti is suburban Adelaide’s only 100 per cent family-owned, fully operational winery.

A range of wine experiences are on offer, including daily wine tasting flights (bookings recommended) to regular Friday evening and weekend events featuring live music and food trucks. Wine is available by the glass or bottle to enjoy in the beautiful grounds every day with antipasto platters available from Thursday to Sunday.

Warradale Hotel

234 Diagonal Road, Warradale
Website

Outdoor option: garden bar

This airy garden bar will see you surrounded by hanging plants and leafy lush vines. The garden area features plenty of booths and bar tables, a fish pond and easy to access views of the 3.75 square metre LED screen. Perfect if you like a side of sport with your meal.

Hot tip: The Warradale Hotel was voted 'Best sporting entertainment venue' in the 2021 South Australian AHA awards.
