Minda are looking forward to having SBC members visit the Minda site and explain how they continue to improve employment and opportunity for people with a disability.

Minda’s Commercial Enterprises moved 5 of their businesses to the ExAccolade Wine site in January 2018. They have moved into the old bottling plant near the rear of the site.

The strategic plan for Commercial Enterprises was to move to a location, where they can expand the commercial businesses in Manufacturing and Packaging Services. This will provide new supported employment opportunities and future employment. The location is a newer facility which is a huge improvement on previous locations. This has given Minda more modern facilities for everyone on site to enjoy.

Onsite Minda currently have approximately 180 supported employees with over 40 staff in areas of support, training and Management.

Onsite Minda have the following areas of work:

  • Timber Manufacturing
  • Metal Fabrication
  • Horn Australia Sewing and Craft Furniture
  • Packaging of all type of goods
  • Food Packaging.
  • Re-labelling and Labelling.
  • Re-labelling and over sticking of imported food items and Wine Bottle re-labelling
  • Heat Tunnel for Plastic wrapping.
  • Liquid Filling
  • Powder Filling.
  • Assembly of Laundry Cupboards
  • Plastic Pipe Cutting
  • Storage and Logistics
