Booking Information

Booking is essential as spots are limited.

SAMBO stands for self-defence without weapons and is a discipline which focuses on learning the defence rather than attack.

It is an internationally-practised combat sport, and a recognised style of amateur wrestling included by UWW in the World Wrestling Championships along with Greco-Roman wrestling and freestyle wrestling.

Has your child been wanting to come and try a new martial art? Well now is their chance to try something new with experienced coaches from the SAMBO Federation of SA.

Throughout the six week program they will have the opportunity to learn basic self defence, stands, different types of rolls (backwards, forwards, side), how to fall safely and they will have the opportunity to improve their fitness, coordination and confidence.

The sessions are split into two times, for two different age groups.

  1. 9am-10am is for 7-10 year olds
  2. 10am-11am is for 10-15 year olds

Bring a hat, water bottle and sunscreen. All abilities welcome.

This program is free for all City of Marion residents.
