How to Edit Manuscripts

Is your writing lacking something? Are you lost when it comes to knowing what to keep in and what to backspace? Unsure how to properly punctuate, format and proofread your novel manuscript to ensure it's a gripping read?

Poet and teacher, Leeza von Alpen, will explore just how to do this with eager writers in this two hour workshop full of insightful tips. From understanding the tedious intricacies of punctuation symbols to impress editors, to ensuring your scene is gripping in sentence structure, word choice and imagery, to the layout of your narrative, this workshop will be packed with useful information to ensure you become equipped with the know-how in order to polish your manuscript to the best of your ability.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Marion Libraries are taking measures to protect all members of the community. It is vital all instructions are followed.

1) Do not attend Marion Libraries if you or anyone in your group has any symptoms of cold or flu.

2) Keep 1.5 metres distance from others.

3) Wash hands or use sanitiser provided before entering and exiting the premises.

4) Maintain appropriate personal hygiene practices (especially covering coughs and sneezes).
