Explore the various ‘genre giants’ with writer, poet and high school teacher, Leeza von Alpen, as she delves into conventions, dos and don’ts, and some inside tips around these popular genre choices. In this workshop, you will explore the genres of drama, horror, romance, young adult, fantasy and science fiction, as well as some gain valuable insight around how to create gripping protagonists and story arcs, and write engaging dialogue regardless of which genre you prefer. This workshop is the perfect insight for writers wishing to gain a broader understanding of the various genres readers favour.
