Things to do
White Noise is a searing and dangerous psychological thriller, from an exciting new voice in Australian crime. Mercedes has insider knowledge (pardon the pun) of the justice system that fills her novel with authenticity and intensity.
Working in Communications for Corrections South Australia for the past decade, Mercedes has seen shocking, heart-warming and hopeful stories inside the prison walls. And after a brush with death, Mercedes decided to thrust herself into life, moving overseas, becoming a blackbelt, going sky diving and volunteering with animals.
White Noise is informed and inspired by these experiences and Mercedes is happy to discuss how they influenced her writing.
