Celebrate recent Harmony Week with us! Interwoven with traditional Afghan recipes is one family's story of a region long afflicted by war, but with much more at its heart.

When the Ayubi's family-run restaurant opened its doors in Adelaide in 2009, their vision was to share with the world their family memories through the delights of Afghan cuisine and to offer a more complete picture of the country they had left behind through flavourful recipes that each have a story to tell.

Author Durkhanai Ayubi, in conversation with journalist, wine writer and author Katie Spain, will tell us how this book pays homage to the peals of laughter, the tears of loss, the staunch pledges and sacrifices, the lost potential, the ethereal memories and, above all, the dreams of the people of Afghanistan.
