Join The City of Marion Mayor Kris Hanna at the official opening of this the new facility.

The centre will officially open its doors with a Traditional Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony followed by a community celebration.

The free community event will showcase a number of Sports including football, rugby, volleyball basketball as well as come and try sessions for all ages, fitness sessions, cultural activities, arts and crafts and much more.

There will be live music, face painting, roving performers and a variety of food and coffee available throughout the day.

Open Day Program

  • 10am Sporting games commence
  • 10am Cultural art and fitness activities commence
  • Face painting all day
  • 11.15pm Official opening ceremony
  • 11.45pm Come and try sessions for various sports throughout the day
  • Community information stalls

All residents and the broader community are welcome to enjoy the wonderful facilities at Mitchell Park Sports and Community Centre.
